Petaluma,
CA. - Adobe Road Wines was honored by the City of Petaluma
Monday night with a Proclamation recognizing the array of awards
and accolades the Adobe Road wines have received, and the winery's
important role in the Petaluma wine region.
The city's mayor, Pam Torliatt, in issuing
the Proclamation, explained "I am happy to present this
honorary proclamation to Adobe Road Winery
in recognition of their contributions to the City of Petaluma.
Kevin and Debra Buckler have
worked tirelessly to craft outstanding wines and bring positive
and wonderful recognition to our city and the Petaluma Gap as
a wine producing region. We are so pleased they have chosen
Petaluma for their place of business. The Petaluma City Council
and I wish them continued success and thank them for their contributions."
Adobe
Road Wines have been on an incredible journey--winning a First
Place prize with its 2005 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir at the 2008
California Pinot Noir shootout against Pinot Noirs from all
over the world; and winning nine medals, including two Gold
and one overall Sweepstakes Award for best red with its 2005
Sonoma County Zinfandel, at the 2008 Sonoma County Harvest Fair
this past Fall. Wine Spectator Magazine recently gave Adobe
Road three top scores and generous mentions in related articles.
Upon
hearing that the Proclamation would be bestowed, Adobe Road's
owner, Kevin Buckler, responded "We are honored to receive
the City Proclamation and thrilled with the recognition that
this brings to the Petaluma wine growing region."
